Aminchon Islomov, one of the eight individuals apprehended in connection to the recent Moscow concert hall assault, has lodged an appeal against his pre-trial detention, as per a report from the Russian state news agency RIA on Thursday.

Islomov, hailing from Tajikistan, is suspected of providing assistance to the four Tajik nationals who perpetrated the tragic incident at Crocus City Hall, resulting in the loss of at least 143 lives.

According to updates from Moscow courts’ official Telegram channel, Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev was formally charged with acts of terrorism linked to the March 22 concert hall attack by the Basmanny district court in Moscow on Sunday (March 24).

The court has decided to keep the men, all identified as citizens of Tajikistan residing in Russia according to Russian media, in custody until May 22 for further pre-trial proceedings. It was noted that three out of the four detained suspects have admitted guilt to all accusations.

The assault on Friday marked the deadliest incident on Russian soil since the 2004 Beslan school siege, where over 1,000 individuals were held captive by Islamist militants. The tragic event claimed the lives of more than 300 people, with a significant portion being children.
