In Bangladesh, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) have started ‘No Helmet, No Fuel’ programme for substantial and sustainable reduction of casualties and fatalities through prevention of road traffic accidents.
As part of the programme, the RMP has shown festoons of ‘no helmet, no fuel’ in 23 petrol pumps and given instructions of selling no fuel without helmet.
For successful enforcement of the programme, RMP Traffic Division has been imposing penalties against the law-violators through setting up check posts adjacent to the respective petrol pumps, reports BSS.
