The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Secretary General, Indra Mani Pandey will be on two day visit to India on 09-10 May 2024.
He will be visiting the BIMSTEC Energy Centre in Bengaluru and have several other meetings during the visit, said BIMSTEC Secretariat in Dhaka via a social media post on ‘X’.
BIMSTEC comprises seven countries of the Bay of Bengal region: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
It pursues regional cooperation in seven sectors including agriculture and food security, connectivity, environment and climate change, people to people contact, science, technology and innovation, security, trade, investment and development.
