The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast extremely heavy to very heavy rainfall over the western and central parts of the country for the next few days.
The IMD said that Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, and Maharashtra will continue to witness extremely heavy rainfall till Friday and heavy to very heavy rainfall thereafter. Isolated places of coastal Karnataka and Odisha are also expected to witness very heavy rainfall till Friday.
In Delhi, the weather department has forecast a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain till the 28th of this month.
IMD has forecast extremely heavy rainfall over some parts of Madhya Maharashtra for the next two days. The weather department said that heavy to very heavy rainfall will continue over these regions thereafter for the next few days.
The Central parts of the country are also expected to witness very heavy rainfall for the next two days and heavy rainfall during the subsequent three days. According to the IMD, the Gujarat region experienced exceptionally heavy rainfall exceeding 40 cm Wednesday.
