Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s dynamic growth during his address at the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business 2024 in New Delhi, encouraging global businesses to join India’s economic journey. “Now is the right time to engage in India’s growth story,” he said.

PM Modi emphasized the potential for a strong partnership between India and Germany, saying, “When India’s dynamism meets Germany’s precision, when Germany’s engineering meets India’s innovation, and when Germany’s technology joins India’s talent, it ensures a brighter future for the world, especially the Indo-Pacific.”

Appealing to delegates to explore India beyond business, he added, “A visit to India offers more than just business. Take time for India’s culture, cuisine, and shopping—you’ll be happy, and your family will be happier.”

Prime Minister outlined India’s strategic growth pillars, underscoring the critical role of AI—both as “Artificial Intelligence” and “Aspirational India.” He emphasized that India’s growth relies on “four strong pillars: democracy, demography, demand, and data.”

He elaborated on the tools driving India’s development: “Talent, technology, innovation, and infrastructure are the engines of India’s progress.” He added, “To power all these, India has a unique force—AI, representing Aspirational India and Artificial Intelligence. This dual strength positions India to meet the demands of a future-oriented world.”

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is on a two-day state visit to India for the 7th Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC), a biannual meeting involving ministers from both countries.

The IGC is a whole-of-government framework under which Ministers from both sides hold discussions in their respective areas of responsibility and report on the outcome of their deliberations to the Prime Minister and Chancellor.
