PM Modi extends Diwali greetings amid nationwide festivities

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the occasion of Diwali. On Thursday, he took to X to convey his wishes for a healthy, happy, and prosperous life for all citizens. “Many happy wishes to the countrymen on Deepawali. On this divine festival of lights, I wish everyone a healthy, happy, and prosperous life. May everyone prosper with the blessings of Maa Lakshmi and Lord Shri Ganesha,” he said.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also shared his Diwali wishes, expressing hopes that the festival brings renewed energy, enthusiasm, and positivity into people’s lives. “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the great festival of lights, Deepawali. May this festival bring new energy, enthusiasm, and positivity in the life of all of you. I pray to Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha that all of your lives be filled with happiness, prosperity, and good fortune,” Dhami wrote on X.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined in the celebrations, wishing everyone a very happy and prosperous Diwali. His message emphasized his commitment to developing Odisha and elevating its glory. “Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi wishes everyone a very happy and prosperous Diwali and emphasizes his commitment to building a developed Odisha,” stated the Odisha CMO.

Recognized as the ‘Festival of Lights,’ Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. The spirit of the festival is palpable across the country, with various celebrations planned.

In Gujarat’s capital, Gandhinagar, the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple is set to shine with 10,000 diyas as part of the Diwali festivities. Additionally, a 55-foot idol of Bhagwan Swaminarayan will be installed during the celebrations, with its Pranpratishtha ceremony scheduled for November 11.
