India has been selected as the Partner Country for “Gulfood 2026”, marking a significant milestone that recognises the nation’s growing influence in global food security and its position as a trusted international agri-food supplier.
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) will formalise the partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Dubai World Trade Centre, organisers of the renowned food and beverage trade exhibition.
India has maintained its status as the largest participating country at Gulfood UAE, with hundreds of companies consistently showcasing the nation’s diverse and high-quality food offerings. This sustained presence has reinforced India’s reputation as a reliable global supplier and emerging leader in agri-food exports.
The Partner Country designation represents a major advancement for India’s participation in one of the world’s most important food trade platforms. The collaboration is expected to create expanded opportunities for Indian exporters seeking to penetrate Middle Eastern and global markets, leveraging the extensive reach and influence of the Gulfood platform.
The partnership underscores India’s strategic importance in addressing global food security challenges and highlights the international recognition of the quality and diversity of Indian agricultural products.
As the Partner Country, India will have enhanced visibility and promotional opportunities at the 2026 exhibition, potentially boosting trade relationships and export volumes.
This development comes as India continues to strengthen its position in international agri-food markets, building on years of consistent growth in food exports and expanding its global footprint.
