IndiaAI, WHO seek AI healthcare abstracts for Global South Casebook at 2026 Summit

The IndiaAI Mission, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has partnered with the World Health Organization (WHO) to invite abstracts showcasing impactful and scalable artificial intelligence (AI) applications in healthcare. The selected entries will contribute to a Casebook on AI Health Use Cases Across the Global South, to be unveiled at the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi on February 19-20.

This collaborative initiative aims to create a comprehensive resource for policymakers, innovators, and researchers to replicate and scale successful AI-driven health solutions across the Global South. The Casebook will highlight real-world experiences and lessons to promote responsible AI adoption and drive digital transformation in healthcare systems.

Researchers, innovators, and institutions from the Global South are encouraged to submit abstracts of up to 250 words by October 31, 2025, detailing successful, scalable AI health use cases. Shortlisted contributors will be invited to submit full chapters of 2,500–3,000 words, covering the AI solution, deployment strategy, ethical considerations, impact, and lessons learned. Submission guidelines and the application form are available at https://impact.indiaai.gov.in/events/who.

The deadline for abstract submissions is October 31, with full chapter submissions due by December 15. For queries, applicants can email fellow3.gpai-india@meity.gov.in with the subject line “Call for Abstracts – Query – [Author Name].”
