President Droupadi Murmu on Friday attended the launch ceremony of the Brahma Kumaris’ annual theme for 2025–26, titled ‘Meditation for World Unity and Trust’, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing the gathering, President Murmu said that despite rapid advancements in science, technology, artificial intelligence, and space exploration, modern society continues to face stress, insecurity, distrust, and loneliness. She noted that while human life has become more convenient and resource-rich, inner peace and stability remain essential.
The President said that introspection and self-awareness are necessary in today’s environment. She stressed that peace and happiness come from within, and that spiritual awareness encourages values such as compassion, unity, and goodwill. A calm mind, she added, contributes to peace in society and supports the larger goal of global harmony.
President Murmu commended the Brahma Kumaris for their work in the areas of world peace, human values, women’s empowerment, spiritual awareness, education, and meditation. She expressed confidence that the organisation will continue contributing to efforts aimed at creating a more peaceful and trusting world.
