Dubai Run 2025

Record turnout as more than 300,000 join Dubai Run 2025

Dubai Run 2025 set a new participation record today, with 307,000 people taking over Sheikh Zayed Road for what has become the world’s largest free community run. The event, a highlight of the Dubai Fitness Challenge led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, transformed the city’s main artery into a vast running track lined by some of Dubai’s most recognisable landmarks.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels joined the seventh edition, choosing between a family-friendly 5km route ending near Dubai Mall and a more demanding 10km course finishing at DIFC Gate Building. Both routes offered sweeping views of the Museum of the Future, Dubai Water Canal, Burj Khalifa and other key sites, creating a festive atmosphere as families, seasoned runners and first-timers took part.

The event reinforced the growing popularity of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, which has seen participation surge more than threefold since its launch in 2019. Dubai Run was organised by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai Sports Council, with support from government and private-sector partners. The city now prepares for the Dubai Yoga finale on November 30 at Zabeel Park, closing a month dedicated to movement and community engagement.
