Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed grief over a tragic fire accident at a fireworks manufacturing unit in Virudhunagar district.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “The mishap in Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu is deeply distressing. I extend my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones.” He also wished speedy recovery to people injured in the tragic incident.
The blast occurred on Sunday around 3 pm at a licensed fireworks unit, identified as “Vanaja Fireworks,” near Kattanarpatti.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed sorrow over the tragedy. In a post on X, HM Shah said, “Deeply saddened by the tragic fire accident at Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu. My heartfelt condolences to the families of those deceased and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
