India continued its impressive run at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 in Suhl, Germany, adding three more medals to stay firmly atop the standings. Shiva Narwal won silver in the men’s 10m air pistol junior event, while Yug Pratap Singh Rathore claimed bronze to complete a double podium finish for the country.
India also secured silver in the men’s 10m air pistol junior team event, with Shiva Narwal, Sandeep Bishnoi and Chirag Sharma combining for a podium finish. The latest medals took India’s tally to 15 medals — five gold, three silver and seven bronze — maintaining a comfortable lead in the championship standings.
Earlier in the day, Pritam Kendre won gold in the men’s 10m air rifle junior event, while Sameer struck gold in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol junior competition with 28 hits in the final. Rohit Kanyan added another gold in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions junior event, while Prachi Gaikwad claimed silver in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions junior event with a score of 354.7.
India also picked up two bronze medals in team events. The women’s 25m pistol junior team of Anjali Mahendra Bhagwat, Parisha Gupta and Nithila Ivy Darling Praveen Christopher finished third, while Abhinav Choudhary, Raj Chandra and Jatin secured bronze in the men’s 25m pistol junior team competition.
