Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended greetings to the Chartered Accountant (CA) fraternity on the occasion of Chartered Accountants’ Day.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “Greetings on Chartered Accountants’ Day to the entire CA fraternity. They have long been trusted partners in India’s economic journey. Through their commitment to transparency and professional excellence, they strengthen our financial systems, support businesses, encourage entrepreneurship and inspire confidence among investors.”
Highlighting their role in India’s development, he added, “Their expertise contributes significantly to economic growth and nation-building. As we move towards becoming a Viksit Bharat, their efforts help create an environment where enterprise can flourish and opportunities can expand for all.”
Observed annually on July 1, Chartered Accountants’ Day commemorates the establishment of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 1949 and recognises the invaluable contribution of Chartered Accountants to the country’s financial system. The day celebrates the profession’s role in promoting transparency, ensuring financial accountability, and supporting India’s economic growth.
