The House is also scheduled to take up the Kashmiri Pandits (Recourse, Restitution, Rehabilitation and Resettlement) Bill, 2025. The Bill, to be moved by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, seeks to provide for the social, political and economic rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, protection of their properties, restoration of cultural heritage, ensuring safety and security, and a rehabilitation and resettlement package.

Additionally, Congress MP K.C. Venugopal will introduce a private member’s bill — the Fishermen (Protection and Welfare) Bill, 2024 — aimed at protecting and welfare of fishermen in coastal States and Union Territories through a Fishermen Welfare Board and Fund.

On Thursday, the Lok Sabha passed the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, by voice vote amid Opposition protests. The legislation seeks to amend the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, the Income-tax Act, 2025, and the Finance Act, 2026.
