PM Modi to address IIT Delhi’s 57th convocation, inaugurate AI-powered supercomputing facility

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 57th Convocation Ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi as the Chief Guest on August 8.

PM Modi will address more than 3,000 graduating students, including 587 PhD scholars, who will receive their degrees during the ceremony.

During the convocation, the PM will present the institute’s highest honours to meritorious students, including the President’s Gold Medal, Director’s Gold Medal, Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal and Perfect Ten Gold Medals, recognising outstanding academic achievements.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Param Pragya, an AI-powered high-performance supercomputing facility established at the Sonipat Campus of IIT Delhi.

The advanced facility is expected to strengthen IIT Delhi’s capabilities in artificial intelligence, data science, advanced computing and interdisciplinary research.
