Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said India’s BRICS presidency has focused on the four pillars of resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability, and with the support of member countries, the shared vision has been transformed into a “win-win collaboration”.
Addressing the open session on the second day of the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, PM Modi said the BRICS Logistics Supply Chain Cooperation Framework would help make supply chains more reliable and resilient.
“Under India’s presidency, we have focused all our efforts on four pillars: resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainability. I am pleased that, with your cooperation and support, we have been able to transform our shared vision into a win-win collaboration,” he said.
Highlighting initiatives under the innovation pillar, the Prime Minister said the BRICS Incubator Network would connect startups and incubators across member countries.
“We have proposed the BRICS Startup Innovation Fund to promote innovative and scalable solutions,” he said.
PM Modi also highlighted the BRICS Network on Digital Agriculture, saying it would create new opportunities for farmers.
“Through this initiative, AI, geospatial technology, and digital public infrastructure will be aligned with the actual needs of farmers,” he said.
The Prime Minister cautioned that the weaponisation of technology and critical minerals could hinder shared progress and stressed the importance of inclusivity in the adoption of technology.

The theme of Sunday’s open session is ‘Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability: Shaping the Future for Inclusive Global Growth’.
The session provides BRICS leaders an opportunity to deliberate on areas of common interest and discuss ways to strengthen cooperation among member countries while advancing an inclusive approach to global growth.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi welcomed leaders participating in the second day of the 18th BRICS Summit.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with several leaders on the sidelines of the summit. (ANI)
