India is showcasing its expanding capabilities across the oil and gas value chain at ADIPEC 2026 in Abu Dhabi, highlighting ambitions in deepwater exploration, clean energy, domestic manufacturing and international partnerships.
With a strong presence at one of the world’s leading energy industry gatherings, India is well-placed to attract global investments, strengthen technological collaborations and position itself as an important player in the evolving global energy landscape.
Being held from 2-5 November at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, ADIPEC brings together governments, national and international oil companies, technology providers, investors and energy industry leaders from across the world.
The event provides a platform for discussions on energy security, technological innovation, investment and the transition towards more sustainable energy systems. The 2026 edition features more than 2,250 exhibitors, with participation from companies and national pavilions representing several countries.
India has established a significant presence at this year’s event, reflecting the scale and diversity of its energy industry. The India Pavilion, organised through multiple industry platforms, including the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), brings together Indian companies showcasing capabilities across upstream, midstream and downstream operations, alongside emerging energy technologies and solutions.
Led by India’s oil and gas public sector enterprises and supported by participation from private-sector companies, the pavilion provides a platform to highlight indigenous technologies, engineering expertise, infrastructure capabilities and investment opportunities.
The various sections of the India Pavilion were inaugurated by Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and India’s Ambassador to UAE Dr. Deepak Mittal.
Secretary Neeraj Mittal highlighted two recent initiatives that are relevant to India’s participation this year – the Samudra Manthan deepwater exploration and the programme for converting agricultural and organic waste into compressed biogas (CBG), under India’s broader Waste-to-Wealth approach. He added that India’s participation at ADIPEC is also aimed at strengthening partnerships with multinational energy companies and inviting global players to explore manufacturing and investment opportunities in the country.
India is seeking to attract significant FDI, global technology and expertise while positioning itself as a manufacturing hub for the oil and gas sector under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
