Shooters Kynan Darius Chenai, Joravar Singh Sandhu and Prithviraj Tondaiman scored 361 points in the men’s team trap event and clinched the gold medal at the Asian Games 2023.
In the individual qualification rounds, Kynan secured the first position, while Zoravar finished in fourth place, both earning their spots in the finals.
On the women’s side, the Indian contingent in the trap team event, featuring Manisha Keer, Preeti Rajak, and Rajeshwari Kumari, delivered a silver-medal performance. Despite their commendable effort, only Manisha Keer qualified for the individual women’s trap event finals.
In golf, Aditi Ashok exhibited tremendous skill and determination in the women’s individual competition. Aditi led the competition overnight but faced stiff competition on the final day. Ultimately, it was Thailand’s Yubol Arpichaya who maintained her composure and clinched the gold medal, relegating Aditi Ashok to a well-deserved silver.
