Renowned Israeli actress Rona-Lee Shimon, known for her prominent role in the acclaimed web series ‘Fauda,’ has expressed her unwavering determination to stand against Hamas following the terrorist organization’s assault on her homeland.
In an interview, Shimon openly addressed the brutality attributed to Hamas. When asked if she’s ready to fight against Hamas, Shimon responded, “I will do everything in my power to have Israel win.”
Struggling to hold back her emotions, Shimon vividly recalled the brutal events of October 7 carried out by Hamas. She remarked, “We are currently in the midst of a war. It will unfortunately result in additional suffering for many lives, but we are determined to prevail. We are actively preparing, and our primary objective is to secure the release of our hostages.”
The actor also urged the international community to take action and help secure the release of civilians held captive by Hamas.
When questioned about her belief in Hamas releasing the hostages, Shimon responded, “I’m not optimistic about it. I sincerely hope for their release, but I think it’s crucial for every nation around the world to intervene and do everything within their power to bring our people back.”
The actor also expressed her deep appreciation for India’s unwavering support for Israel and its strong condemnation of the October 7 attack carried out by Hamas terrorists from the blockaded Gaza Strip. This assault resulted in the tragic loss of hundreds of Israeli civilian lives and the capture of over 100 hostages. In response, Israel promptly launched airstrikes on Gaza, resulting in the loss of many Palestinian lives.
She stated, “Honestly, I feel genuinely grateful to have a steadfast ally, such as India. India holds a special place in my heart, and I have a great affection for its people. It’s truly heartening to see that the first action you took was to denounce the horrendous events of October 7th in Israel. While it’s something I would expect, I want to express my deepest gratitude. I believe that the best way you can support us is by condemning this terrible act of terrorism and standing by our side.”
Meanwhile, another ‘Fauda’ actor Lior Raz inspired by the experiences of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), has joined ‘Brothers in Arms,’ a volunteer group combating Hamas.
