As the world eagerly awaits the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Lord Ram’s idol in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, a wave of excitement and devotion is sweeping through Hindu communities worldwide. Preparations have kicked off across the globe for this monumental day.

Let us have a look at what is happening around the world in the buildup to the historic day.

Mauritius Lights ‘Diyas’ in Celebration

In Mauritius, High Commissioner Haymandoyal Dillum has unveiled exciting plans for the Mauritian community. Mauritians are set to illuminate all temples with ‘diyas’ (earthen lamps), accompanied by the recitation of verses from the Ramayan known as ‘Ramayan Path.’ This ceremony holds not only significance for India but great importance for the people of Mauritius. The government has granted a two-hour special break for Hindu officials on January 22 to actively participate in local events.

France’s Grand Rath Yatra Extravaganza

Paris, France, is ready to host the Ram Rath Yatra and puja, an extraordinary event scheduled 24 hours ahead of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in India. The yatra will kick off at 10.30 am with prayers and the ‘Vishwa Kalyan Yagna’ at a Ganesha temple in La Chapelle. The procession will traverse significant landmarks, culminating at the iconic Eiffel Tower’s location, Place De Trocadero.

Canada Towns Declare ‘Ram Mandir Day’

Towns of Oakville and Brampton in Canada’s Ontario have officially declared January 22, as ‘Ayodhya Ram Mandir Day.’ Mayors emphasize the immense cultural, religious, and historical significance of the temple’s inauguration, calling upon residents to celebrate this historic day.

Billboards in USA

In a show of unity and celebration, over 40 billboards featuring Sri Ram and the Ayodhya Ram Temple have been erected across 10 states in the United States by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), US chapter.

This visual extravaganza serves as a lead-up to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony scheduled for January 22. Positioned strategically in states like Texas, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and Georgia, these billboards convey the enthusiastic engagement of Hindu Americans in this historic event.

International Broadcasts

On the day of consecration, the event will be broadcast live at around 300 locations in the United States, including the iconic Times Square in New York. Paris’s Eiffel Tower is also gearing up to mark the day of ‘Pran Pratishtha.’ In the US, large-scale auto rallies and week-long temple celebrations are in the plans. France is preparing for a Grand Rath Yatra, and the event will be broadcast on a large scale in the UK, Australia, Canada, and Mauritius.

The global celebration of this historic event is gaining remarkable momentum, highlighting the universal significance of Lord Ram’s teachings and bringing communities together in joyous celebration of faith and common values.
