Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron held a roadshow in Jaipur on Thursday, where both the leaders were welcomed by the people in large number. French president also waved back at the people, acknowledging their warm welcome.
Following the roadshow, PM Modi and French President visited Hawa Mahal, a popular tourist attraction known as the “Palace of Breeze”,
Earlier in the day, both the leaders had also visited Jantar Mantar, the famous solar observatory established by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, in Rajasthan’s Jaipur. The French President also interacted with the Indian students at Amber Fort in Jaipur.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gifted a replica of Ram Mandir to French President Emmanuel Macron, in Jaipur. He was also seen explaining the UPI digital payments system to French President Emmanuel Macron during their visit to Jaipur.
The French President is in India on a two-day state visit, on the invitation of PM Modi. He is also the chief guest at the 75th Republic Day celebrations.
