Army Chief General Manoj Pande is set to embark on a four-day official visit to the United States of America on Feb 13. During his visit, he will engage in high-level discussions and meet with United States Chief of Staff of the Army General Randy George, along with other senior military leaders. General Pande’s itinerary also includes a visit to the Pentagon.
The Defence Ministry has highlighted that this visit underscores the deepening military cooperation and strategic partnership between India and the United States. It aims to strengthen defence cooperation and foster closer ties between the armies of both nations.
Key topics on the agenda for discussions include the ‘Transformation in the Indian Army’, ‘Global Threat Perception’, ‘Transformation to Army-2030-2040’, ‘Human Resource Challenges’, ‘Future Force Development and Modernisation’, and ‘Co-Production and Co-Development Initiatives’. These discussions are intended to facilitate the exchange of insights, ideas, and best practices between the two armies.
