PM Modi unveils over 2000 railway projects worth Rs. 41,000 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated and dedicated more than 2000 railway infrastructure projects valued at over Rs. 41,000 crore through a virtual ceremony.

Describing the event as emblematic of India’s evolving work ethos, PM Modi emphasized the nation’s commitment to completing tasks with unmatched speed and scale. He emphasized recent progress across various sectors, highlighting significant developments in education and healthcare infrastructure in Jammu &Kashmir and Gujarat.

Underlining the transformative impact of the railway projects unveiled, PM Modi emphasized their ambitious scale and pace. These projects include the revamping of 550 stations across 12 states and over 300 districts. He cited examples such as the modernization of railway stations and various initiatives aimed at enhancing connectivity and infrastructure.

Recognizing the pivotal role of youth in shaping the future of Viksit Bharat, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that these projects would generate employment and self-employment opportunities, benefiting the nation’s progress and students in schools alike.

PM Modi highlighted the distinctive features of the upcoming Amrit Bharat Stations, noting their architectural diversity and thematic designs inspired by local culture and heritage. He emphasized inclusivity, ensuring accessibility for differently abled individuals and senior citizens.
Reflecting on the transformation of Indian Railways over the past decade, PM Modi lauded strides made in modernization, electrification, and safety measures. He attributed this progress to the absence of corruption and the judicious use of taxpayers’ money for commuters’ welfare.

PM Modi stressed the multiplier effect of infrastructure investment, noting its role in creating new income sources and employment opportunities. He underscored Indian Railways’ significance as a catalyst for agricultural and industrial progress, contributing to the nation’s economic growth.

Reiterating India’s commitment to becoming the world’s third-largest economic superpower, PM Modi emphasized sustained efforts to enhance infrastructure and spur economic growth.

The event also witnessed laying of the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, along with the inauguration of the Gomti Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated and dedicated 1500 road over bridges and underpasses, aimed at enhancing connectivity and safety nationwide.
