PM Modi lays foundation stone for AIIMS Rewari

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for AIIMS Rewari on Friday. The project, sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, will cost Rs 1650 crore and cover 203 acres in Rewari district. The hospital complex, featuring 750 beds, a medical college, nursing college, AYUSH block, and residential facilities, aims to deliver top-notch healthcare services, especially to underserved areas.

Citing the rapid progress in India’s health sector, PM Modi emphasized the role of health infrastructure in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047. He stressed the significance of a developed Haryana for a developed India, linking infrastructure growth with improved healthcare.

AIIMS Rewari is expected to address healthcare needs, create job opportunities, and boost medical education. PM Modi highlighted the government’s efforts, including the approval of 15 new AIIMS and over 300 medical colleges in the last decade.

Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya hailed the foundation stone ceremony, pointing out the benefits AIIMS Rewari would bring to the people of Haryana and neighboring states by providing access to high-quality and affordable healthcare.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar thanked the Union Government for fulfilling the people’s wish for an AIIMS in Rewari. He said the hospital will benefit people of both South Haryana and neighboring areas like North Rajasthan.
