Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Rewari, Haryana on Friday, where he will unveil a series of developmental initiatives totaling over Rs 9750 crore.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Gurugram Metro Rail project, set to be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 5450 crore. The metro rail, spanning over 28.5 kilometers, will connect the Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5, integrating with the existing metro network of Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram at Moulsari Avenue station near Cyber City.
In a bid to strengthen public health infrastructure, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rewari, Haryana, being built at a cost of about Rs 1650 crore. This state-of-the-art institution will feature a hospital complex with 720 beds, a medical college accommodating 100 students, a nursing college with 60 seats, an AYUSH block with 30 beds, along with residential and hostel facilities for faculty, staff, and students, as well as essential amenities like night shelter, guest house, and auditorium.
Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the Anubhav Kendra at Jyotisar, Kurukshetra, an experiential museum constructed at a cost of around Rs 240 crore. This immersive cultural destination promises to bring to life the epic narrative of the Mahabharata and the profound teachings of the Gita through innovative storytelling techniques, augmented reality, 3D laser, and projection mapping, enhancing the visitor experience manifold.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for several railway projects, including the doubling of the Rewari-Kathuwas rail line (27.73 Km), Kathuwas-Narnaul rail line (24.12 Km), Bhiwani-Dobh Bhali rail line (42.30 Km), and Manheru-Bawani Khera rail line (31.50 Km).
Additionally, he will inaugurate the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi rail line (68 kms), aimed at significantly reducing travel time between Rohtak and Hisar, and flag off train services in the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi section, bolstering rail connectivity in the region and offering immense benefits to passengers.
