PM Modi and Greece PM Mitsotakis discuss strengthening India-Greece strategic partnership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Greece Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Saturday engaged in a productive telephone conversation aimed at enhancing the strategic partnership between their countries. During the call, Mitsotakis congratulated PM Modi on his re-election in the recent Indian general elections.

The leaders acknowledged the positive momentum in bilateral relations, which have been bolstered by recent high-level exchanges. They reviewed advancements in key areas of cooperation, such as trade, defense, shipping, and connectivity, reflecting on Greece PM Mitsotakis’s visit to India earlier this year.

Additionally, the discussion included various regional and global issues of mutual concern, including the International Mediterranean Economic Cooperation (IMEEC) and developments in West Asia. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining open lines of communication as they seek to further strengthen ties between India and Greece.
