Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal, emphasizing India’s growing global stature and the state’s promising investment opportunities.

Highlighting the confidence of international investors in India’s economic growth, PM Modi said, “The world is optimistic about India.” He underlined the government’s significant investments in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial and infrastructure sectors, positioning the state as a key player in the country’s economic progress.

Referring to recent developments, the Prime Minister said, “The government has invested approximately ₹50,000 crore in the Bina Refinery Petrochemical Complex. This will help make Madhya Pradesh a hub for petrochemicals.”

PM Modi also noted the state’s expanding industrial landscape, mentioning over 300 industrial zones already established in Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted emerging investment zones in Pithampur, Ratlam, and Devas, which are expected to offer lucrative opportunities for investors seeking better returns.

Reflecting on India’s progress over the past decade, the Prime Minister pointed to rapid advancements in infrastructure and the energy sector. “In the past decade, India has witnessed a boom in infrastructure development. It has been a period of unprecedented growth for the energy sector,” he said. Large-scale infrastructure projects, enhanced connectivity, and increased investments in both renewable and conventional energy sources have fueled this transformation.

Stressing the importance of water security for sustainable industrial development, PM Modi stated, “Water security is crucial for industrial growth. On one hand, we are focusing on water conservation, and on the other, we are advancing with the mega mission of river interlinking.” This initiative aims to support industries while ensuring sustainable water use, benefiting both businesses and local communities.

The Prime Minister further highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s achievements in the energy sector, noting that the state has become power surplus with a generation capacity of 31,000 MW, 30% of which comes from clean energy sources. He mentioned key renewable energy projects such as the Rewa Solar Park, one of the largest solar parks in India, and the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Power Plant, which showcases the state’s commitment to green energy.
