Union Minister J.P. Nadda on Wednesday said Operation Sindoor sends a strong and unequivocal message in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, highlighting India’s unwavering resolve and capability to root out terrorism.
Following the April 22 attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 civilian lives in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian armed forces carried out Operation Sindoor, a calibrated military response targeting nine high-value terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
In a post on X, Nadda wrote, “India’s message on Pahalgam — If you tease us, we won’t let you go. Prime Minister Modi has made it clear: those who attack the soul of India will face severe punishment.”
Reaffirming the government’s firm stance on terrorism, he added, “India is both capable and determined to uproot terrorism from its very roots. We will wipe out this menace.”
The precision strikes focused on camps and logistical hubs linked to Pakistan-based terror outfits, including The Resistance Front — a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba — which claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack.
According to official sources, Prime Minister Modi personally monitored the operation and remained in constant touch with top military officials and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval throughout its execution.
An Indian Army spokesperson stated, “Our actions were focused and precise. We targeted only those terrorist camps from where attacks on India were being planned and launched.”
The Army also underscored that the operation was measured and restrained, ensuring no civilian, military, or economic infrastructure within Pakistan was harmed.
“This was a non-escalatory operation in both intent and execution,” the spokesperson added. “Justice has been served. Jai Hind.”
