Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday highlighted the impact of the Centre’s flagship social security schemes as they completed 11 years, saying the initiatives have strengthened financial inclusion and provided dignity and security to millions across the country.
PM Modi said the PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana reflected the government’s commitment to ensuring social security for every citizen.
The Prime Minister noted that the PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana had created a positive impact at the grassroots level while strengthening the country’s social security framework.
Highlighting the Atal Pension Yojana, Prime Minister Modi said the scheme had enabled several citizens to lead a more secure life in old age and underlined the government’s focus on making social security accessible and inclusive. He also expressed happiness over the growing participation of women in the scheme, calling it a reflection of the contribution of “Nari Shakti”.
In a post on X, the PM wrote: “On this day, 11 years ago, key social security and pension schemes were launched by the NDA Government. They reflect our commitment to bring dignity, assurance and financial security into the lives of the people of India. This thread highlights that the PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana have had a positive impact at the grassroots.”
He added: “Atal Pension Yojana has been very beneficial to several people, enabling them to lead a more secure life in their old age. The scheme reflects our commitment to making social security accessible and inclusive. It is gladdening to see our Nari Shakti in particular benefit from this scheme. #11YearsofJanSurakshaSchemes”.
