Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday held discussions with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman over the technical and payment-related difficulties faced by students during the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) post-result and re-evaluation process.
Following the meeting, it was decided that four major public sector banks – State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank and Indian Bank – will assist CBSE in strengthening its payment gateway infrastructure and integrating it more effectively with the board’s post-examination services portal.
According to the Education Ministry, the banks will help establish robust payment protocols to ensure smoother transactions, timely processing of payments, quick resolution of payment failures, and automatic refunds in cases of excess payments.
Pradhan also directed CBSE to undertake a complete overhaul of its payment gateway system in order to improve reliability and reduce technical disruptions faced by students and parents.
The coordinated effort between the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, and the participating public sector banks is aimed at ensuring seamless digital transactions, enhanced payment gateway stability, and a smoother user experience for students applying for re-evaluation and other post-result services.
