Arjan Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament 2026 to begin in Bengaluru on June 23

The seventh edition of the Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament will be held from June 23 to July 3 at Air Force Station Jalahalli in Bengaluru. Organised by the Air Force Sports Control Board (AFSCB) since 2018, the tournament honours the legacy of Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh, whose passion for hockey and sportsmanship continues to inspire generations of air warriors.

A total of 16 teams will compete in the tournament, with matches being played at the Hockey Stadium of Air Force Station Jalahalli on a league-cum-knockout basis. The competition carries a prize purse of ₹10 lakh for the winners and ₹8 lakh for the runners-up. Individual awards include ₹25,000 for the Man of the Match in every game and ₹50,000 for the Player of the Tournament.

Indian Air Force officials highlighted that the service has consistently produced athletes who have represented India at international events and brought laurels to both the nation and the force. Air Marshal S. Sivakumar, VSM, Air Officer-in-Charge Administration, will attend the press conference and serve as the chief guest at the opening ceremony on June 23. The closing ceremony on July 3 will be presided over by Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command.
