MY Bharat to launch national anti-drug quiz, anthem campaign from June 26

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will launch a nationwide anti-drug awareness campaign on June 26, beginning with the National Nasha Mukti Quiz and a crowdsourcing initiative for a Nasha Mukti Anthem through the MY Bharat portal.

The quiz, which will remain open till July 15, is aimed at educating young people about the dangers of substance abuse and encouraging healthy, informed choices. Officials said the initiative forms part of the broader “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” campaign, which seeks to mobilise youth against drug abuse through digital engagement and grassroots participation.

Alongside the quiz, the ministry will invite suggestions for themes, slogans, lyrics and messages for a Nasha Mukti Anthem between June 26 and July 6. Entries will be reviewed by a national jury comprising musicians and cultural personalities, with the selected composition becoming the campaign’s official anthem.

The campaign will also feature a series of activities across the country, including folk song, mime, short film, reel-making, painting and debate competitions, as well as awareness drives, counselling sessions, youth club engagements and sports events under the Fit India Movement.

The initiative will conclude with the National Nasha Mukti Youth Conclave in New Delhi on August 14, where outstanding participants from across the country will be recognised.
