Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi on June 11. The meeting will focus on the theme, “Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047”, aimed at advancing the vision of comprehensive and equitable development across the country.
The Governing Council, the apex body of NITI Aayog, will bring together Chief Ministers of States, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers, and senior officials to deliberate on strategies for achieving inclusive human development and translating the vision of Viksit Bharat into measurable outcomes for citizens.
According to an official statement, discussions will be centred around four key pillars of the proposed Inclusive Human Development Framework: foundational human capital and future-ready skills, productive employment and entrepreneurship, health, nutrition and wellbeing, and equity and dignity for all.
The meeting is also expected to deliberate on measures to promote entrepreneurship, strengthen skill development and create sustainable employment opportunities across sectors and regions.
A major focus will be on preparing an implementation roadmap that leverages governance reforms, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), convergence of schemes, partnerships and data-driven systems. The roadmap is expected to include mechanisms for monitoring short-, medium- and long-term outcomes to ensure accountability and measurable impact.
The Governing Council will also discuss ways to align state-level development visions with the national objective of inclusive human development, reinforcing the cooperative federalism framework envisioned under the concept of Team India.
In addition, the meeting will review recommendations emerging from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December 2025. The conference focused on five thematic areas: early childhood education, schooling, skilling, higher education, and sports and extracurricular activities.
The deliberations are expected to contribute to shaping policy priorities and strengthening collaboration between the Centre and States in pursuit of the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The meeting will be attended by Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, Union Ministers as ex-officio members and special invitees, along with the Vice Chairman, Members and Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog.
