Mumbai airport to offer connectivity to 115 destinations this winter schedule

Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is gearing up for a bustling winter season with a remarkable expansion in its flight operations. According to an official release, the airport is set to offer connectivity to a staggering 115 different destinations with a total of 975 daily flight movements. This marks an 8% increase compared to the winter schedule of 2022.

The winter schedule is scheduled to kick off on October 29, 2023, and run until March 30, 2024. The announcement reveals exciting developments, including new international routes to Almaty in Kazakhstan and Bali in Indonesia. Furthermore, Air Canada and Azerbaijan Airlines are resuming their operations from Mumbai.

Passengers departing from or arriving in Mumbai will now have an array of thrilling vacation destinations at their fingertips. The offerings include enticing African destinations like Entebbe and Lagos, tropical paradises such as the Maldives, vibrant cities like Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi in Vietnam, the idyllic islands of Mauritius and Seychelles, and urban adventures in Tokyo.

Emirates, one of the world’s leading airlines, introduced its Premium Economy cabin class in India on October 19, with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport as its initial hub. The official rollout of this new cabin class is set to begin on October 30, 2023, providing passengers with an enhanced travel experience.

When it comes to market share, IndiGo is leading the way with an impressive 38%, followed by Air India at 18%, and Vistara stands strong in the third position with a 15% market share. These statistics highlight the competitive landscape at Mumbai’s international airport and the choices available to travelers.
