A three-day international summit on artificial intelligence, featuring participation from 28 countries, including the European Union, as well as experts from science, industry, and international organizations, is set to kick off today in Delhi.
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023, taking place at the Bharat Mandapam, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Global Summit on Artificial Intelligence Launched in June 2020 with a membership of 15 nations, GPAI is a multi-stakeholder initiative aimed at bridging the gap between AI theory and practice. During a media briefing, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted India’s global recognition in technology solutions, emphasizing that the world looks to India for co-creating technologies and providing thought leadership on critical issues such as 6G and AI. Vaishnaw pointed out that the summit aligns with PM Modi’s vision of democratizing technology, positioning India as a focal point for collaborative efforts in the AI domain.
