A British Airways flight en route to London’s Heathrow airport returned to New Delhi shortly after departure on Friday. The return was prompted by indications of a potential fire onboard, as per airport officials.
The flight, BA-142, had taken off from New Delhi airport when, at approximately 9:53 am on Friday, a full emergency was declared due to an indication of fire lights.
Immediately following this alert, all relevant authorities were promptly notified of the situation.
Subsequently, a decision was made to reroute the flight back to New Delhi for precautionary measures.
The flight landed safely back in New Delhi at around 10:26 am, and by 10:55 am, the full emergency status was lifted, ensuring the safety of all onboard passengers and crew, as confirmed by officials.
