Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the All India Conference of Director Generals/Inspector Generals of Police at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur from January on 6th & 7th. The three-day conference, spanning January 5th to 7th, will address critical issues in policing and internal security, including Cyber Crime, Technology in Policing, Counter-Terrorism challenges, Left-Wing Extremism, and Prison Reforms.

A key focus of the conference is the roadmap for implementing new criminal laws. Deliberations will also touch upon emerging challenges such as AI and Deepfake technologies. This annual gathering provides a platform to identify actionable points and monitor their progress, with the outcomes presented to the Prime Minister each year.

PM Modi has actively participated in the conference, engaging in extensive discussions and encouraging free and informal exchanges of ideas. The conference features thematic discussions during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, allowing senior police officials to share views and recommendations on crucial security issues affecting the nation.

The Prime Minister has advocated and supported the organization of annual DGP conferences across the country. This year’s event in Jaipur continues this tradition.

The conference will see the presence of Union Home Minister, National Security Advisor, MOS for Home Affairs, Cabinet Secretary, Senior officials of the Government of India, DGP of States/UTs, and Heads of Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organizations, among others. The event aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices among States/UTs, fostering collaborative learning and innovative approaches in policing and internal security.
