Prime Minister Narendra Modi today dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone for a multitude of development projects totaling more than Rs. 48,100 crores in Rajkot, Gujarat. These projects span across crucial sectors such as health, transportation, energy, and tourism, among others.
In a move towards bolstering healthcare infrastructure, the Prime Minister inaugurated five All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rajkot (Gujarat), Bathinda (Punjab), Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), Kalyani (West Bengal), and Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh). Additionally, he laid the foundation stone and dedicated over 200 healthcare infrastructure projects valued at more than Rs. 11,500 crores across 23 states and union territories.
Inaugurating the National Institute of Naturopathy named ‘Nisarg Gram’ in Pune, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of promoting traditional Indian medicine alongside modern healthcare practices. He underscored the government’s commitment to prioritizing disease prevention and strengthening the nation’s capacity to combat health challenges.
During the event, the Prime Minister also inaugurated 21 projects of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), worth approximately Rs. 2,280 crores. These projects include the establishment of medical colleges and hospitals in various states, further augmenting the healthcare infrastructure across the country.
