PM Modi to inaugurate multiple development projects during two-day visit to Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar on March 1st and 2nd. The visit aims to kickstart a slew of development projects across these states, enhancing infrastructure, connectivity, and socio-economic growth.

On March 1st, PM Modi will commence his visit with a public programme in Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, where he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth Rs 35,700 crore. This includes initiatives in fertiliser, rail, power, and coal sectors.

A significant highlight of the Sindri event will be the dedication of the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant, a critical step towards self-sufficiency in the Urea Sector. The plant, developed at a cost of over Rs 8,900 crore, will significantly boost indigenous urea production, benefiting farmers across the country.

Moving to Arambagh, Hooghly, West Bengal later in the day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore. These projects span various sectors including rail, ports, oil pipeline, LPG supply, and wastewater treatment, aiming to bolster infrastructure and enhance connectivity in the region.

On March 2nd, PM Modi will visit Krishnanagar, Nadia district, West Bengal, to inaugurate projects worth Rs 15,000 crore, focusing on power, rail, and road sectors. The projects aim to strengthen the energy sector and improve transportation infrastructure in the state.

Subsequently, in Aurangabad, Bihar, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 21,400 crore. These projects include initiatives to enhance the National Highways network, strengthen rail connectivity, and promote socio-economic development in the region.

The Prime Minister’s visit will conclude in Begusarai, Bihar, with the inauguration of oil and gas projects worth about Rs 1.48 lakh crore, spanning various states across the country. These projects are set to significantly boost the energy sector and reduce India’s dependence on energy imports.

Additionally, PM Modi will unveil initiatives such as the ‘Bharat Pashudhan’ digital database for livestock animals and the ‘1962 Farmers App’, aimed at empowering farmers and promoting digital agriculture.
