The High Commission of India in Bangladesh organised a seminar on ‘India-Bangladesh Tourism Fair’ in Dhaka on Sunday. The High Commission organised the event in collaboration with India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IBCCI) and Bangladesh outbound Tour Operators Association (BOTOA).
Speaking on the occasion, the High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Pranay Verma highlighted significant strides in connectivity made over the last decade that has boosted not just bilateral trade but also cultural & people-to-people connections.
Handicraft items from various states of India including ‘Bidri Art’ (Karnataka), ‘Blue Pottery’ (Rajasthan), and ‘Dokra ornaments’ (Odisha). were displayed on the sidelines of the program.
The president of BOTOA Iqbal Mahmud and the Vice president of IBCCI M. Shoeb Chowdhury took part in the seminar and appreciated the handicraft items on display.
