Asserting that India is committed to protecting the interests of humanity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that ‘One earth, One Family and One future’ is a commitment of the country.

PM Modi said that the country has lifted 250 million people out of poverty, demonstrating the viability of sustainable development.

“For India, One Earth, One Family, One Future is a commitment. This commitment is also reflected in our initiatives such as ‘One Earth, One Health’ and ‘One Sun, One World, One Grid’,” he said. Modi reaffirmed India’s dedication to act in thought, word, and deed to promote global prosperity.

The Prime Minister called for balanced global regulations to ensure the safe and responsible use of technology. He advocated for global digital governance that respects national sovereignty and integrity. “Digital Public Infrastructure should be a bridge, not a barrier. For global good, India is ready to share its digital infrastructure with the entire world,” he added.

Modi expressed India’s willingness to share its successful experiences with the Global South, emphasizing that the future of humanity rests on collective strength rather than conflict. “In the biggest elections of human history held in June, people of India gave me the opportunity to serve them for a third straight time. Today, I have come to bring the voice of one-sixth of humanity to you,” he said. He stressed that discussions on the global future must prioritize a human-centric approach, balancing sustainable development with human welfare, food, and health security.

Reforms in global institutions were highlighted as essential for ensuring global peace and development. Modi referred to the inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member of the G20 during the New Delhi Summit as a significant step in this direction.

Addressing the threats to global peace, Modi pointed out that terrorism remains a serious concern, alongside emerging challenges in cyberspace, maritime domains, and outer space. “On all these issues, I will stress that global action must match global ambition,” he said.

At the UN Summit of the Future, world leaders adopted a Pact for the Future, which includes a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations. This Pact encompasses a range of themes, including peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, digital cooperation, human rights, gender equality, youth engagement, and the transformation of global governance.
