US elections | Trump Kamala Harris debate

Trump blames Harris for US border crisis and crime wave, mocks her ahead of debate

In a speech to the Fraternal Order of Police on Friday (September 6), former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump vowed to “always back the blue” and criticized his opponent Kamala Harris as a “defunder.”

Trump also expressed relief over the postponement of the “Manhattan D.A. witch hunt” against him, labeling it as political interference in the 2024 election. The New York judge in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial delayed his sentencing until after the Nov. 5 election, now planned for Nov. 26, unless the case is dismissed before then.

Trump’s lawyers had pushed for delaying the sentencing citing “naked election-interference objectives.”

Trump also mocked Harris for her debate preparation, claiming she was struggling to focus due to MAGA supporters outside her quarters.

Speaking on migration, Trump blamed Harris and the “radical” Democrat Party for a “crime wave” and a “nation-wrecking border invasion,” promising to put a an end to these crises if re-elected to the White House. “As soon as I’m back in the White House, the conquest will end and the great liberation of America will begin,” said Trump finalizing his speech.
