Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a strong message of national unity and support for the armed forces on Friday, amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. Speaking at a public gathering in Lucknow on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, the Chief Minister praised India’s military and asserted that “India is always a winner.”
“With full integrity and responsibility, we must all boost the morale of our armed forces. We must stand firmly with our security personnel. At the same time, any mischief that threatens our security must be exposed,” Yogi Adityanath said.
He also cautioned citizens against falling for misinformation, especially on social media platforms.
“There will be attempts to spread rumours, particularly through social media. But without getting distracted, the entire nation must follow the guidance of the central leadership, especially our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
Reaffirming India’s strength and resilience, the Chief Minister declared, “India is a winner and will remain a winner—there’s no doubt about it.”
His remarks came in the wake of rising tensions along the India-Pakistan border following a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
In retaliation, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting terrorist base camps across the Line of Control (LoC) and in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The situation further escalated as Pakistan reportedly launched multiple drone and artillery attacks along the western border and violated the ceasefire agreement.
In response, the Indian Army issued a stern statement, “The Indian Army remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be responded to with force.”
