Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam and expressed gratitude to farmers across the country, acknowledging their vital role in sustaining the nation, especially during ongoing festive celebrations.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Many festivals and celebrations have been observed across various parts of the country. For these occasions filled with enthusiasm and joy, we are grateful to our hardworking farmer brothers and sisters, who nourish the entire nation.”
Through the shared Sanskrit Subhashitam, the Prime Minister highlighted effort and perseverance of Indian farmers. He said that just as a small seed sown by a farmer, when nurtured with timely care, grows into a bountiful harvest, similarly, even a small effort made with pure intentions can lead to great success.
The message comes at a time when several regional festivals marking new beginnings and harvest seasons – Poila Boishakh in West Bengal, Rongali Bihu in Assam and Vishu in Kerala – are being celebrated across the country, underlining the central role of farmers in India’s cultural and economic life.
