IndiGo on Thursday issued a travel advisory for passengers travelling to and from the Middle East, saying it is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the region and coordinating with relevant authorities.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, the airline said the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew remain its highest priority and urged customers to stay updated through its official communication channels.
“We understand that the evolving situation in the Middle East may be causing concern for customers travelling to and from the region. Please be assured that we are closely monitoring developments and remain in constant coordination with the relevant authorities. The safety and well-being of our customers and crew remain our highest priority,” the airline said.
IndiGo advised passengers to check the flight status page on its official website and follow its social media channels for real-time updates on operations.
The airline also appealed for patience and understanding, stating that it would continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
The advisory comes days after IndiGo suspended flights to and from Kuwait following the continued closure of Kuwaiti airspace and guidance issued by local authorities.
On June 5, the airline announced that all services operating to and from Kuwait would remain suspended until further notice. At the time, IndiGo said it was closely coordinating with aviation authorities and continuously monitoring the situation to facilitate the resumption of operations as soon as conditions permit.
“Due to the continued closure of airspace over Kuwait and guidance received from Kuwait authorities, all flights operating to and from Kuwait will remain suspended till further notice,” the airline had said in its earlier advisory.
IndiGo expressed regret over the disruption to passengers’ travel plans and reiterated that safety considerations remain paramount. The airline advised travellers to verify their flight status before proceeding to the airport and said its customer support teams remain available to assist with travel-related queries during the disruption.
The carrier said it would continue to monitor developments and provide timely updates regarding its services in the region.
