India Mining Week 2026 has stepped up its international outreach with an interaction involving representatives of diplomatic missions from 19 countries, focusing on investment opportunities, critical minerals, technology and greater global participation in India’s mining and minerals sector.
The international outreach interaction, titled ‘India Mining: Global Connect’, was organised as part of the build-up to India Mining Week 2026, scheduled to be held from November 15 to 17 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.
The event is being organised by the Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Mines in association with the mining industry.
The interaction was hosted by Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Rupinder Brar.
Speaking at the interaction, Dubey called for greater participation and cooperation from the global mining community. He invited partner countries to facilitate the participation of leading mining companies, investors and industry representatives at India Mining Week 2026.
The Minister also expressed interest in participation by Ministers responsible for mining from partner countries, along with investors and industry leaders, and invited them to attend the inaugural event on November 15.
Rupinder Brar highlighted the spirit of international partnership and collaboration, invoking the Indian ethos of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
She said the mining and minerals sector has an important role to play as India advances its economic growth and global ambitions. She invited the international mining community to use India Mining Week as a platform to exchange ideas, share expertise and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Focus on critical minerals and technology
The discussions covered potential participation by country delegations, government and institutional representatives, business delegations, technical experts, mining and mineral companies, technology providers, equipment manufacturers, investors, research institutions and industry associations.
The participating diplomatic missions also discussed areas of mutual interest, including critical minerals, mineral exploration, mining technology, heavy mining equipment, innovation, investment, trade and resource development.
Countries were invited to facilitate the participation of relevant companies, government agencies, institutions and industry bodies from their respective countries.
The interaction comes as India expands its focus on critical minerals, resource security, infrastructure development and domestic manufacturing. International cooperation is expected to play a role across the mining value chain, according to the Ministry.
India Mining Week 2026
India Mining Week 2026 is expected to bring together more than 25,000 industry professionals and decision-makers, over 500 exhibitors and technology providers, more than 200 speakers and industry experts, and over 1,000 government and PSU delegates.
The event is also expected to feature more than 100 conference sessions and technical presentations, along with participation from over 300 mining and mineral companies and more than 50 countries.
The three-day event will feature a high-level conference, international exhibition, technical sessions, leadership dialogues, business-to-business meetings, technology demonstrations and product launches.
Key areas of discussion will include coal, metals, critical minerals, exploration, mining technology, automation, mine safety, sustainability, mineral processing and resource efficiency.
The ‘India Mining: Global Connect’ interaction is part of the international outreach programme ahead of India Mining Week 2026. Further engagement with international governments, mining companies, technology providers, investors and industry organisations is planned in the run-up to the November event.
