Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Thursday extended greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday, and expressed gratitude for his support for the development of the entire Northeast.
The CM also described the successful hosting of the BRICS summit as a significant milestone in India’s growing global stature.
“On behalf of the government and people of Sikkim, I express gratitude for the prime minister’s guidance, support and continued encouragement towards Sikkim and the Northeast,” Tamang said in a social media post.
The chief minister said PM Modi’s special affection for Sikkim and the Northeast, along with his continued support, is deeply cherished by the people of the state and the region.
The CM recalled the prime minister’s presence in the closing ceremony of the golden jubilee celebration of Sikkim’s statehood, where he appreciated the state’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, tourism potential and achievements in various sectors.
“Praying for the prime minister’s good health, long life, happiness, strength and continued energy to serve the nation,” Tamang said, adding that Sikkim and the entire Northeast would continue to progress towards greater peace, prosperity and development under PM Modi’s guidance.
