Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded India’s outstanding performance in the Asian Para Games, with the country securing a record-breaking 73 medals and still counting, surpassing the previous record of 72 medals achieved in Jakarta in 2018. PM Modi has praised the commitment, tenacity and unwavering drive of the Para athletes.
In a tweet shared on his official social media account, the Prime Minister stated, “India’s remarkable achievement in the Asian Para Games is truly exceptional. With an unprecedented 73 medals and the momentum still going, we have surpassed our prior record of 72 medals from Jakarta in 2018! This remarkable accomplishment stands as a testament to our athletes’ resolute determination.”
He went on to say, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our extraordinary para-athletes who have made history, filling every Indian’s heart with immense joy. Their commitment, resolve, and outstanding performance are a genuine source of inspiration! It is my hope that this historic achievement will serve as a guiding light and inspire future generations.”
