Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan visited Hub71, a global tech start-up ecosystem in Abu Dhabi, on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
During the visit, the minister met with start-ups, investors, and other stakeholders in the tech ecosystem. He also discussed ways to promote collaboration between India and the UAE in the tech sector.
Pradhan said that Hub71 is a “vibrant tech ecosystem” and that he is “impressed by the innovative start-ups and talented entrepreneurs” he met. He also said that he is “committed to working with the UAE government to promote collaboration between our two countries in the tech sector.”
Hub71 is a leading tech start-up ecosystem in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It provides start-ups with access to co-working space, mentorship, funding, and other resources to help them grow and succeed.
Hub71 is home to over 1,000 start-ups from over 60 countries. It has also attracted over $1 billion in funding for its start-ups.
Pradhan’s visit to Hub71 is a sign of India’s growing interest in the UAE’s tech sector. India is home to one of the largest start-up ecosystems in the world, and the two countries are already working together on a number of tech initiatives.
The visit is also expected to boost collaboration between the two countries in education. India and the UAE have signed a number of agreements in recent years to promote cooperation in education and skill development. The visit is expected to lead to new initiatives and partnerships that will benefit both countries.
