PLI Perspectives-First of its kind meeting with over 1200 stakeholders

Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is set to host a groundbreaking event titled “PLI Perspectives” on February 3, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This initiative, a part of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Schemes, is poised to assemble over 1200 stakeholders, including representatives from all 14 PLI schemes, 10 Ministries/Departments, Project Management Agencies, and the industry.

The primary objective of this unprecedented meeting is to establish a collaborative platform where stakeholders can exchange knowledge, share experiences, highlight success stories, and discuss best practices related to PLI Schemes. By bringing together industry leaders, experts, and government officials engaged in these schemes, the event aims to foster cross-learning and strengthen collaboration across sectors.

Anticipated to participate in this landmark event are ministers responsible for implementing PLI schemes, offering valuable insights to enhance stakeholders’ confidence and contribute to the development of a robust manufacturing ecosystem in India. As the first-of-its-kind gathering, “PLI Perspectives” holds immense significance in setting new targets and charting the course for success under all PLI Schemes in the future.

Key discussions during the event will center around the remarkable achievements and positive impacts of PLI schemes. These include investments surpassing Rs. 1 lakh crore, production and sales reaching an impressive Rs. 8.7 lakh crore, and the substantial generation of direct and indirect employment. Notably, the schemes have also played a pivotal role in boosting exports, contributing over Rs. 3.4 lakh crore to the economy.

The success of the PLI scheme is evident in the creation of a global ecosystem, and “PLI Perspectives” aims to further amplify this success by establishing ambitious targets for the continued growth and prosperity of these schemes.
